Frequently Asked Questions

Do you provide abortion services, the morning after pill, birth control, condoms, or referrals for these things?

No, we do not. Life Hope, as our name suggests, is an organization that hopes not only for the lives of the unborn babies being conceived, but for the lives of the mothers, fathers, and families of those babies. We believe all should be done to educate one's self to the options and risks before making decisions that will affect the lives of any of these individuals. And at this time we are not a medical facility, so we wouldn't even begin to feel qualified to give medical advice or referrals.

Isn't it true that you are planning on becoming a medical facility? Will you provide these things then?

We are in the process now of converting to a medical facility, but we are planning on providing things like STD testing, pregnancy verification, prenatal care, etc. We are still committed to valuing life even in it's earliest forms and we are interested in giving basic pregnancy and related care so, no, we will not provide for or refer for abortions, abortion pills, etc. then either. As far as advising about birth control, or condoms etc.... those are medical issues our physician and medical staff will address based on the standing orders from our Medical Director.

How much does it cost to get your help?

The services at Life Hope are free. The only thing it costs is time. It takes about half an hour to an hour to gather the state and government required information and provide a pregnancy test, and, for those who wish to receive more supplies from us, it takes an hour or so to participate in our education program each return visit.

What is your education program?

The Hope for Today and Help for Tomorrow Education Program, (or Hope and Help for short), is a self education system that gives each individual the freedom to choose education topics (from our list of DVDs and videos); the chance to watch them alone, with a friend, spouse, boyfriend, or volunteer, and points for doing so, which can be spent on needed supplies from our store of donated supplies.

When can I come in for these services?

Right now, we are open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10am to 6pm. However, because we are staffed almost completely by volunteers, we are, at times, forced to be closed if those volunteers cannot come in. We are working towards having more paid staff, however, until that time it is always best to check ahead before you come in and to make an appointment.

Do I need an appointment when I come in?

We do take walk-ins, however we honor appointments first. There may be quite a wait without an appointment, so...YES, make an appointment! It helps all the way around!
